Day5- TBA

     I had a bad night of sleep tossed and turned all night, just have too much energy.  Going to try and exercise a bit today to try to burn some of it off.

Day5 weight 268 lbs
Total weight loss -17 lbs

Day4- Feed Me

     I am so hungry today my stomach is making noises even though I am taking in more than enough juice and liquids.  This feeling of needing to eat needs to go away otherwise I don't think I will last much longer.
      But the good news is I do feel great and have tons of energy.  Today I took my son to his football practice and instead of just sitting around watching him like I do 99% of the time I took a walk around the park.

Day3- Keeping Busy

     Felt good today, not really having any issues or detox symptoms.  Definitely was tempted as I was out and about but I have found that if you stay busy it isn't much of an issue.  It keeps your mind off of not eating the foods you see or smell and can help distract from any issues that I have seen in the past such as headaches.

     Another key point to remember in doing this fast, is staying properly hydrated.  It can be challenging to get in additional water with the heat and humidity up higher than they have been the last few days.  But staying hydrated also helps prevent headaches, cravings and such so I am trying to stay on top of it.

Today's intake so far:

Carrot-Apple-Ginger x 2
3 carrots
2 apples
1" ginger 

Green Juice x 2
2 cucumbers
2 apples
4-5 kale leaves

Will probably throw in another juice or two before the end of the day.

Total weight lose -9 lbs 
 
I didn't lose any weight today but I also didn't gain any of that initial 9lbs that I lost back so I am a happy camper.

Day2-Humongous Blackberries...

     So this morning we headed to the Williamsburg Farmer's Market to see if we could find some good produce for our juicing.  Boy did we! We managed to find bell peppers for a really good price, cucumbers and a box of berries.  Blackberries and raspberries to be exact.  These blackberries are enormous, I have never seen any that big.


     By the end of the day life was rough I wanted a nice thick burger so bad, but I must drive on and continue with this journey I am so scared of what day3 has to come wish me luck!

Day1- Not so bad

     So I started this blog on day 2 so I have a little bit of catching up to do.  Day 1 was actually not so bad had no problem staying on course and am actually enjoying the drinks at the moment.  My drink for the day consisted mostly of the Mean Green and a ton of water throughout the day.

Day0-The Will


             Hello my name is Dan and about 3months ago I found out I have type 2 diabetes.  My doctor has prescribed me about 7 different medications that I have to take a few times a day.  I am  33 years old, 5' 9"  and weigh 285lbs.  I am in the worst physical shape of my life and am determined to make a change.

A few days ago on Yahoo I saw a short video about a guy named Joe Cross, losing weight by purely drinking fruits and vegetables.  I am sure some of you have heard about this video, Fat Sick & Nearly Dead which my lovely wife found it available at our local library.  After watching this I felt that maybe this is the opportunity I was looking for.

So please follow me on my journey to juicing and getting healthy.  I will be posting my daily progress and everything involved.  Also I will be making a video of my final transformation so stay tuned and lets see if I can make my goal of 60 days.
